The short version: Glow Up Diary doesn’t need an account. Your name and your diary stay on your iPhone, and if you choose “Keep it private”, your photos never leave it.
The app
What stays on your iPhone
- Your first name. It’s used only to greet you on the home screen, and it never leaves your iPhone.
- Your diary. Your photos, weight, mood and notes are stored on your device.
Sharing your journey (optional)
During setup you can choose between Keep it private and Share my journey. If you choose Share my journey, you give us permission to feature a few of your milestone photos (Day 1 and every fifteenth day) in Glow Up Diary’s marketing. This is optional and changes nothing about how the app works for you. If you change your mind, email us and we’ll stop using your photos in new marketing.
Ads
The free version of the app shows ads, which are provided by a third-party advertising partner. That partner may collect information about your device, such as an advertising identifier, subject to the choices you make in iOS, including App Tracking Transparency. Glow Up Pro removes ads.
Purchases
Glow Up Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Reminders
If you turn on the daily reminder, iOS asks for your permission first. You can turn notifications off at any time in your iPhone’s Settings.
This website
- Analytics. We use PostHog analytics to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked, so we can improve our guides. PostHog may store a cookie or a local storage item to tell visits apart. We don’t use this information to identify you, and we don’t sell it.
- Email. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
- No ads. This website doesn’t show ads.
Children
Glow Up Diary isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent. Because the app keeps your diary on your device, deleting the app deletes your diary. For anything else, email us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
